What to send

To give you a real fixed price without coming out first, I need:

1. A photo of the boundary. Whole run if possible; from the side that shows the current state.
2. The length in metres, or the number of standard 6ft panels the run is now (I can convert).
3. The height you want. Standard heights are 4ft, 5ft or 6ft.
4. The style you want. Closeboard, overlap panel, featheredge panel, picket, palisade, or "not sure, help me pick".
5. Your Margate postcode. Tells me the exposure, whether Old Town Article 4 might apply, whether Palm Bay chalk is a factor.
6. Gates? Number, size, single or double. Photos of the current gate position if you have them.

What triggers a site visit

I verify with a short site visit before booking on any of the following:

• Closeboard runs over 15 metres
• Any driveway gates or double-gate installs
• Palm Bay and clifftop Cliftonville addresses (chalk-substrate check)
• Anything in Margate Old Town conservation area (planning check)
• Complex shared-boundary runs where neighbour conversation matters

The site visit is free and takes 20-30 minutes. It rarely changes the WhatsApp quote by more than 10 per cent; the point is to catch surprises before the day of work, not to reprice.

Payment

Bank transfer on completion. Card via SumUp available if preferred. Deposit on materials for jobs over £1,500 (usually the timber-order amount). 5% pensioner discount applied to the final price on any qualifying job.
